Advanced Scene Study: 21st Century Texts

This is an advanced acting class in mastering the provocative theatrical texts of today. You will work on both monologues and scenes, and receive coaching and exercises designed to sharpen your skill set and open your thinking to new ways of approaching material.  An interactive and nurturing class environment will broaden your perspective and stimulate your dramatic intuition, which will serve you in any future role. Possible material includes the work of Donald Margulies, Neil LaBute, Julia Jordan, and Brooke Berman, including unpublished plays. At the end of the session, your work may be showcased in a final presentation before an audience of guest artists, including casting directors and theater professionals.
