When it comes to your acting career, singing may be where you draw the line. But conquering this aversion can make you a more versatile—and more employable—actor. This 1-night intensive will focus on acting a song with confidence by relying on your instincts and your ability to tell a story. Actors should prepare a ballad with a strong and actable lyric that you want to sing. By exploring your song as a monologue, you will discover the joy of performing in this new medium. This workshop will allow you to overcome what can be a huge handicap for actors—and perhaps even awaken a hidden passion.

Note: Actors should come to this workshop with a memorized song. If you need help preparing, we’d be happy to recommend an accompanist/coach for you upon enrollment. Song keys are adjustable in class.

Monday, March 12 from 6:30pm – 9:30pm
