ANN HARADA

Ann Harada was born in Honolulu, Hawaii and attended Punahou School and Brown University. She moved to NYC in 1985 and joined AEA in 1987. She made her Broadway debut in M. Butterfly, but is best known for playing Christmas Eve in Avenue Q Off-Broadway, on Broadway, and in the West End. Other Broadway credits: Seussical, Les Miserables, 9 to 5, Rodgers and Hammerstein’s Cinderella, and Into the Woods. She is currently in Schmigadoon!, reprising her role from the AppleTV series. Other TV credits include “Smash,” “Elsbeth,” “Blue Bloods,” “30 Rock,” “The Jim Gaffigan Show,” “House of Cards,” and voicing the title character’s mother in “Blue Eye Samurai.” She has never appeared on any version of “Law and Order.” Other NYC credits: The Counterfeit Opera, Finding Dorothy Parker, Pacific Overtures, Dear World, Emojiland, Stuffed, Dropping Gumballs on Luke Wilson, Falsettoland. Regional theater includes 42nd Street, Beauty and the Beast, Matilda, Anything Goes, Mamma Mia (all at St. Louis MUNY), The New World (Bucks County), The Closet (Williamstown), Babbitt (LaJolla and Shakespeare Theatre DC). Film includes: Sisters, Admission, Disenchanted, Jerry and Marge Go Large, Hope Springs, Tow, Feel, and the upcoming Good Sex and What May Be. She was also cut out of Boys on the Side and Trans America, but you can see her picture on Julie Kavner’s refrigerator in New York Stories.
