MICHAEL WALKUP

Michael Walkup is the Artistic Director of Page 73, a Tony and Obie Award-winning theater company that launches the careers of playwrights (page73.org). Recent Page 73 premieres include Cold War Choir Practice by Ro Reddick, Stargazers by Majkin Holmquist, The Trees by Agnes Borinsky, Man Cave by John J. Caswell, Jr., STEW by Zora Howard (2021 Pulitzer Prize Finalist), and A Strange Loop by Michael R. Jackson (2020 Pulitzer Prize, 2022 Tony Award for Best Musical). Michael has been with Page 73 since 2011 and worked previously in new play development at Yale Repertory Theatre. He has been teaching at ESPA since 2016 and also teaches New Play Dramaturgy at Fordham University. MFA in Dramaturgy, Yale School of Drama; BA in Theater Studies, Penn State University.
